Fun at The Wharf

I think for the first time in several years, a federal holiday didn't involve a home project, so we decided to head for the city on the bay and visit Fisherman's Wharf. The only fog we saw was while crossing the Golden Gate Bridge - it was still there when we went home. The weather on The Wharf was VERY nice.

First stop, a walk through of a retired WWII submarine. Emmett was most impressed by the canons, Gracie liked the torpedoes, and Jessie liked everything on the inside. :-)

Next stop, The Aquarium by the Bay. Gracie's favorite part was the touch pools, Emmett and Jessie loved the 3D shark movie in the aquarium theater.

Then, lunch at the Boudin Sourdough Bakery - fresh clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl - yum!

The sea lions were up next....the kids were impressed with how loud they were.

Last stop (we didn't actually stop), a trip down Lombard Street. The kids said it was so steep it felt like a roller coaster (a very slow one, that is :-)
