Pre-Halloween Fun

Friday afternoon we carved our pumpkins and put a few decorations up in the yard - maybe we'll get more than 4 trick-or-treaters this year! Friday evening the Base sponsored a Fall Festival with lots of activities, free food, and candy. The kids had a great time in their costumes and playing with their friends.

It's a GIRL!

We had our official ultrasound yesterday and everything looked great - our technician was very thorough, so we saw all the organs and appendages. We also decided to find out the sex of the baby this time - it's a girl! She was very active, but gave us a clear view and there's no question that she's a girl! The bottom half of the image below shows her face and hand. I had my monthly check up today and have finally gained some weight (4lbs) - otherwise all was good.

Deer Hunt

I had a great time chasing deer in the Okanogan and Banks Lake region. The scenery was beautiful and the weather was great. The marksmanship was quite a bit better this year with 2 one shot drops (280 & 420 yards), making my day a little nicer. My brother had a few more people than usual this year at 3 different camps - 29 of 34 hunters went home with a buck.

Thanks for putting up with us Grammy and Pa!

Brrrrr! Colder than we're used to (note the frost on the grass), but still had fun throwing apples to the cows.

Struggling to pull Emmett on the thick, frozen grass.

Date-Night!

Our friends watched the kids so we could have a real date! We went to a movie and had a quiet dinner (I almost forgot what that is like!). It was fabulous! We'll have to do it again before #3 arrives!

End-of-the-Summer Fun

Helping mow the lawn
The water's off now, so only one more time until we're done for the winter! Of course, it's still in the 90's and won't get cold enough (30's at night) to feel winter-like until Jan./Feb.!

Hmmmm...I think there is a slight resemblance in those tummies...

Is he looking for a matching lid?
