Disneyland Vacation

Between Christmas and New Years we surprised the kids with a trip to Disneyland and California Adventure park.   We stayed 12 minutes from the park and had 5 day park-hoppers.

Yes, I can attest this sure seemed to be a very crowded time of year but our longest line was no more than 50 minutes (Radiator Springs).  First thing in the a.m. this line extended about 1/4 mile.

Everyone had a great time and the weather was perfect. Here's a few pictures of our trip

We all had so many favorite rides but here's a few we really loved:
Gracie -- Grizzly River/Pirates of Caribbean/Toy Story
Emmett -- CA Screamin'/Buzz Lightyear/Star Tours
Jessie -- The Little Mermaid/Alice in Wonderland/Pooh
Amy -- Radiator Springs/Indiana Jones/Splash Mtn
Jason -- Space Mtn/Soarin' CA/It's Tough to be a Bug

Amy's Christmas Prep

We decided to bring out the good plates when we learned the in-laws were flying down for Christmas. Amy crafted an evergreen swag and ribbon napkin ring and put together a some flower arrangements for the table. I have the most creative wife in the world.

With Pa, it wouldn't be a typical visit if he wasn't teaching Emmett or the girls some sort of important skill...
Happy New Year everyone!
